602 (City of Glasgow) The 602 Squadron Museum was officially opened on 22 October 1983 by Marshal of the Royal Air Force, The Lord Cameron of Balhousie. It was built to commemorate the outstanding achievements of No. 602 (City of Glasgow) Squadron, Royal Auxiliary Air Force from its formation in 1925 until its disbandment in 1957.
Rolls-Royce Heritage Trust
The Rolls-Royce Heritage Trust, an independent society, was launched in
1981, the year when Rolls-Royce Limited celebrated it's 75th anniversary. It's
aim is to provide a focal point for all employees interested in researching,
preserving and promoting the history and engineering heritage of Rolls-Royce from it's earliest days to the present time. |
