Duke of Edinburgh's Expedition

On the 8th September 2001 a group of cadets from the squadron participated in their Qualifying D of E Bronze Expedition. The purpose of the journey was to investigate a crashed aircraft in the Loch Thom Area. The hike was a success with the investigation revealing that an Avro Ansen crashed into the hillside and that the engine was recovered and put on display outside the visitor centre.
