Citizenship

The squadrons' citizenship training is divided into three parts;

Community Knowledge

Community knowledge is gained through visits/talks by representatives of community organizations including;

  • Fire Service
  • Police Service
  • Hospital/Ambulance Service
  • Local Government
  • Air Traffic Control

Practical Help

Practical help is given to the community through our participation at events such as the Great Scottish Run and Women's 10K race where we man traffic gates with the help of the Police. Also we arrange fund-raising activities for charity, for example Comic Relief, Children In Need, etc.

Discussions

Discussions are carried out in the form of monthly debates with the subjects being chosen by the cadets themselves.
